Here’s the interiors page of the march edition of Scottish Field. Every little mention of my stags head tartan cushions helps. When I do a show like country living or Hopetoun House, these tartan cushions sell really well however because I don’t sell them to trade, the sales on the internet are much slower. I think it’s because you can’t see the quality and I suppose they are a lot of money until you realise that they are made from the plushest fabrics. Anyway, decided a bit of PR and advertising won’t do any harm

Here are the snaps of a recent commission I did for Tomlea Farmhouse, a delightful bed and breakfast near Blairgowrie, Perthshire. Rather than having the tartan cushion with the plain appliqued stags head I did the plain wool cushion with a tartan stags head appliqued on. I then made 4 plain simple tartan cushions in the glacier plaid in my Scottie dog range. Alison, the owner of Tomlea, was so pleased she has since bought some of the fabric from me to make co-ordinating curtains in plain blue with a block of the stunning glacier tartan down either side. Stags Head Cushions

At last I have finally put my stags head cushions on my web site. In fact I’m rather proud of this page. I am no computer expert but thanks to contribute and very understanding backup from Pat at The Sales Partnership, I have learnt to copy and paste well enough to almost create my own page. This was a difficult page because there are so many options. Four designs, stags head, Lion Rampant, Heart and St Andrews Cross. Four colours of tartan or plaid with 5 different options of contrasting colours! Even I get a bit lost and I work with these colours and designs every day. Have a look and please let me know if you don’t think it’s easy to navigate or understand. I cannot be unbiased about it after about a whole days work.

Terrier Tam likes a dram

Totally Tartan’s Terrier Tam has proved a big hit with the Morrison Bowmore Distillers Visitors Centres. Is it because Tam is partial to a single malt or is it because people who like a dram have good taste. Either way, here’s 20 of them that I have tirelessly stuffed before sending them on their way. I do love them but I do hate stuffing them!

Yes, for better or for worse, I’m going to start blogging again. As for twitter, well, I’ll keep tweeting but don’t really have a clue what it’s all about.
